Spring Break and Reminders!
Hey all!
Spring Break is this upcoming week! Hopefully everyone will get the rest they deserve!
Following break, we have some important dates!
- Sunday March 24th is the load-in for Curtains - try to be at Amherst High School as early as you can. We start loading the truck at the scene shop at 8am, bright and early! We will be working through till around 11pm. Check the load-in schedule posted by our Tech Director on your respective FB groups!
- Curtains goes up March 29th and 30th at Amherst High! Tell your friends!!
- Publicity Day for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead starts on April 6th at 11am - make sure you're in the Student Union on time!
- Sunday April 7th is the load-in for R&G - we will be in Bowker Auditorium (time TBD).
- R&G goes up April 11th, 12th, and 13th! Tell your friends!!
Dates not involving the shows:
- We have no General Body Meeting during Curtains tech week; instead, we have scheduled one for April 4th.
- The E-Board Elections/Constitution Voting Meeting that was originally on April 4th has been CHANGED: it will instead happen on Tuesday April 16th (a Monday schedule) at 6:30. Check with Kat to make sure you've got your voting rights!
- We will be holding the Nomination Meeting for next semester's shows on Wednesday April 17th, and the Voting Meeting for the shows on April 18th. Check with Kat about voting rights!
- The tentative date for Banquet is May 4th, potentially in the Massachusetts Room in the Mullins Center. Keep your ear out for more details!

The Name's Guild... Theatre Guild

Our bi-annual Coffeehouse is coming up! This semester's theme is CASINO NIGHT! Come dressed in your swankiest (if you feel comfortable doing so!) and be ready to play with us!
The event will take place in Earthfoods in the Student Union. Doors open at 6:30, and the event begins at 7!
Coffeehouse is the UMass Theatre Guild's once a semester open mic night. The event is catered and free of charge! Anyone in the Guild, on the UMass campus, or within the community can sign up or attend - past acts have included playing musical instruments, singing, poetry reading, dancing, stand up comedy, and short performance sketches! We also provide free refreshments for our attendees

Spring Semester 2013 Kicks Off!
Hi everyone! The executive board hopes you all had a restful break, and are ready to get back into the swing of things for the 2013 spring semester! Here are some updates on events to get you started:
- Come find our table in the Campus Center all this week and next! We will be tabling in the Campus Center concourse from 9 am to 3 pm answering your questions and spreading the word about our shows - swing by and say hi!
- The UMTG will have a table set up at the Activities Expo this upcoming Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm in the Student Union Ballroom! Stop by and sign up for our email list, meet members of the executive board, and ask questions about our shows and meetings!
- We will be having our first meeting this upcoming Thursday, January 24th. Come and meet new people, meet some experienced guildees, and learn about our upcoming productions and events for the semester! Doors open at 6pm and the meeting begins at 6:30. We will announce the location soon.
- Our musical this semester is Curtains! Auditions will be this weekend in Bartlett 65, and there are three audition times to choose from: Friday Jan. 25th at 7pm, and Saturday Jan. 26th at 1 and 7 pm. You only need to attend one of these time slots. The earlier you arrive, the better - first come, first serve! All levels of talent welcome, and no preparation is needed! Callbacks will be held on Sunday Jan. 27th; if you are auditioning, please keep that day available, and notify a member of the executive board if you have a conflict.
- Our play, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, will be holding auditions the following weekend in Bartlett 65. Again, you can choose from one of three time slots: Friday Feb. 1st at 7pm, and Saturday Feb. 2nd at 1 and 7pm. First come, first serve! No preparation necessary, and all levels of talent are encouraged to audition! Callbacks will be held on Sunday Feb. 3rd; if you are auditioning, please keep that day available, and notify a member of the executive board if you have a conflict.
- We are still accepting artistic team applications for both shows. If you are interested, please fill out an application (can be found in the upper right hand corner of our blog page), and our producers will get back to you as soon as possible.
