Upcoming Fall Season 2012

Congratulations to the cast and crews of The House of Blue Leaves and A Little Night Music on two amazing shows. Thank You to everyone from the University staff  like the Center of Student Development, the UMass Arts Council, UMass Catering, Campus Design & Copy, People's Market, to local businesses such as Silverscreen Design, Dinn Trophy and Copy Cat that helped make this past season for the Guild possible. While we hope everyone is having a safe and fun filled summer the Guild is excited for its upcoming Fall season.

Next semester we will be putting on Spring Awakening and Farragut North.

Auditions
Looking for a chance to be on stage? Auditions for our musical, Spring Awakening, will take place the first weekend of the semester (September 7th and 8th). Auditions for our play, Farragut North, will take place the following weekend (September 14th and 15th). Be sure to mark your calendars.

There is no preparation necessary, we will teach you the audition materials. Also, all levels of acting, singing, and dancing experience are welcomed.

Artistic Team (Technical Crew) Application
All people with all different levels of experience are welcomed to apply for an artistic/technical position on our A-Team. Most positions (if not all) have potential for an assistant position. This allows the Guild to help fulfill its mission statement as a learning organization, by offering assistant positions for those with less experience. We hire an A-Team for the play and musical each semester. Here is a list of some of the positions available for next semester:

  • Stage Manager
  • Tech Director
  • Set Designer
  • Scenic Artist
  • Lighting Designer
  • Lighting Assistant
