Spring 2013 Shows!

Our shows for the Spring 2013 semester are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead for our play and Curtains for our musical! Hooray for shows!!

Our producers, Dan Squizzero and Joy Silvey, are now accepting applications for artistic team members, specifically Director and Master Carpenter positions. Please feel free to fill out an application here on the Guild blog. 

Our altenative shows will be The Real Inspector Hound for the play and Songs for a New World for our musical. We will default to the alternative in the case that we cannot access the rights or we do not find an adequate director.

Welcome Back!

A new school year and another exciting season of UMTG theater are about to start! To those of you who have joined us for previous productions, welcome back! We cannot wait to reunite with all of you. For those who are looking to join the UMass Theater Guild for the first time this year, we look forward to meeting you!

Important Dates and Times
We will have a table set up at the Activities Expo Wednesday, September 5th, starting at 4pm. Stop by to pick up some information, ask us questions, or just say hi! 

The first general body meeting of the semester for the UMTG will be Wednesday, September 5th at 7pm Campus Center room 174-76.

AUDITIONS for our musical Spring Awakening will be held Friday, Sept. 7th at 7pm, and Saturday Sept. 8th at 1pm and 7pm; callbacks will be Sunday Sept. 9th. Auditions for our play Farragut North will be the following weekend, Sept. 14th at 7pm, and Sept. 15th at 1pm and 7pm; call backs will be Sunday Sept. 16th. Auditions for both shows will be held in Bartlett 65. There is no preparation necessary; we will teach you the audition materials. All levels of acting, singing, and dancing experience are welcomed.

Artistic Team Applications
Our producers are still hiring for the upcoming season! The musical is still seeking applicants for choreography, scenic artist, lighting director, costumes, stage management, hair/makeup, publicity, props, tech director, and dramaturge, as well as all assistant positions. The play is still accepting applications for hair/makeup, lighting, stage management, props, publicity, scenic artist, costumes, tech director, and dramaturge, as well as all assistant positions.
